America’s wars have always been fought in defense of one Founding Principle: that every person has the right to live in liberty. The American Battle Monuments Foundation exists to Remember & Honor those who gave their lives for this ideal. ABMF connects people to the sacrifice of Americans who never came home.

Donors don’t just give to a cause; they ensure that veterans can share their living history at commemorations, that families see their loved ones remembered, and that students and adults learn why freedom must be preserved.

Each year, ABMF donors fund on-site commemorations at ABMC cemeteries and memorials: Memorial Day, Veterans Day, anniversaries of D-Day, V-J Day, and other significant events, where we host American veterans.

Now, as our nation approaches its 250th anniversary in July 2026, ABMF will tell the American story in the context of alliances; battles, heroes and technology; and the military branches.
